Our Purpose

The creator comes from a family of educators and is happy to have educated her own children from home for the last nine years. As she learned and grew as a teacher she developed educational materials specific to her family's needs.

When the homeschool community swiftly grew through the Covid-19 pandemic, friends and neighbors came to her for insight and encouragement. She loved helping these parents and recognized that these families needed simple, effective materials to give them confidence in their ability to teach their children. She knew when things were easy to accomplish they were more likely to get done. This is when she wrote her first book, made all her educational materials available to the public and created The Refined Schoolhouse. 

This is a family created, owned and operated business. 

All the products are currently being used by their family. They love them and hope you do too.
